Nattiluxe Beds : An Object of Desire

The Loro Piana of Bed Makers

By blending unmatched craftsmanship with the finest natural materials and beautiful aesthetics, Nattiluxe has established itself as the Loro Piana of bed makers. This European artisan brand offers a sustainable sleep experience, reminiscent of the high quality and precision found in quiet luxury brands .

Handcrafting a Nattiluxe bed

In today's fast-paced, screen-connected world, sleep has transformed from a basic necessity into a luxury. The constant bombardment of screens and the fear of missing out (FOMO) have made deep, restorative sleep more challenging yet crucial for maintaining a high quality of life. Deep sleep enhances decision-making, controls weight, and improves overall performance. Recognizing this, Nattiluxe is dedicated to creating customized beds that provide the ultimate in natural plush comfort.

Founded by Giselle Valle, who broke through the barriers of a male-dominated industry, Nattiluxe builds on more than a century of high-end upholstery and textile expertise. The brand handcrafts its products in ateliers in France, Slovakia, and Italy, using ethically sourced materials from Sweden and other European countries.

Valle’s experience includes seven years as a Director at Hästens beds, where she expanded the brand across Europe. Her insights into the luxury bedding market inspired her vision for Nattiluxe, focusing on superior, natural sleep experiences that positively impact both people and the planet.

Every Nattiluxe bed comes with a 30-year warranty, underscoring the brand’s confidence in its craftsmanship and materials. This long-term guarantee highlights the durability and sustainability of Nattiluxe products, making them a lasting investment in both health and environmental responsibility.

The Essence of Nattiluxe

The essence of a Nattiluxe bed is invisible to the eye. While the exterior showcases impeccable craftsmanship and elegant design, it is the completely natural materials inside that set Nattiluxe apart. Each mattress is designed to wick away humidity, ensuring a cool, serene sleep environment. By avoiding any sort of latex or foam, Nattiluxe mattresses provide a healthier, more sustainable alternative that enhances comfort and longevity.

“Our mission is to positively impact people's lives and the planet with everything we make,” says Valle. This philosophy is evident in every aspect of their production process. The bed frames are crafted from FSC-sourced slow-growing pine, while the fillings consist of pure natural materials that can be reused, recycled, or refreshed.

Personalization and Collaboration with Designers

Nattiluxe stands out by offering personalized mattresses and beds to suit individual interior design tastes. Collaborating closely with renowned interior designers, Nattiluxe utilizes luxurious fabrics from Loro Piana, Pierre Frey, Dedar, and Lizzo. Their expert upholstery artisans can match patterned fabrics and create custom combinations as requested by designers, ensuring that each bed is a unique masterpiece tailored to the customer's aesthetic preferences.

The meticulous attention to detail in every bed, from invisible zippers to elegant piping and seamless corners, offers sophistication and comfort sought by discerning customers.

Every frame and bed legs are crafted for each specific order meaning the height, color and shape of the legs can be customized. There’s a wide variety of piping and stitching colors to choose from.

Transparency in Pricing and information

Nattiluxe understands that their consumers are educated individuals who need sufficient information to make informed decisions.

“We do not use Bonell springs, which are the cheapest on the market. Instead, we use pocket springs even in our bases,” says Valle ”The quality of Nattiluxe beds is superior due to the generous use of horsehair, noticeable in the height of its mattress toppers”

Horsehair is organically washed and twisted into long braids, left to dry for six months to make horsehair a fluffy cloud of millions of tiny springs, supporting each muscle and helping regulate body temperature. This natural ventilation absorbs the body’s excess heat.

Nattiluxe offers more affordable beds using the wool and cotton mix favored by competitors, but also provides the option to upgrade to silk or cashmere. These materials contour the body better and remain flexible throughout their life, regardless of humidity. All the comfort layers are hand-stitched together before placing the fabric and again after, with up to five rows of stitching to ensure the mattress does not collapse over the years.

As Valle notes, “We are not cheap, but we are worth every penny.” Nattiluxe aims for transparency, ensuring that consumers do not base their decisions solely on price but on the inherent value and quality of the product. While their beds are competitively priced compared to others in the luxury market, Nattiluxe focuses on providing superior quality, total customization and sustainable materials, ensuring that their customers receive the best value for their investment.

A Global Citizen’s Vision: Crafting beds with the next generations in mind

Founded by a global citizen, Nattiluxe brings together the best of European design and craftsmanship. Giselle Valle's journey at Hästens provided her with unique insights into what the market lacked, leading her to create a brand that embodies both authenticity and innovation. The result is a collection of beds that not only look exquisite but also promote better sleep and well-being.

The brand’s mattresses are free from any sort of latex or foam, significantly reducing their environmental impact and health hazards."Sustainability is key in a world where more than 55,000 latex and foam mattresses are burned every day" . Nattiluxe offers a sustainable alternative. "We craft our beds with the next generations in mind".
